PAN: TAKE ACTION Studies have also linked the chemical to birth defects, liver damage and hormone disruption. EPA is dismissing this evidence as well.

We need you to speak up on glyphosate today!
Dear Patricia ,
Last month, a jury ordered Monsanto (now Bayer) to pay over $2 billion to Alva and Alberta Pilliod. The Pilliods have non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a type of cancer that studies have linked to glyphosate, the chemical in Monsanto’s flagship herbicide Roundup.
The jury found that Monsanto knew their product could cause cancer, and willfully withheld this information.
Yet the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to keep glyphosate on the market. This is your last chance to tell Administrator Wheeler it’s time to protect public health, not corporate profits!
Internal memos show that this administration reassured Monsanto that they “have their back” when it comes to pesticides. So it’s no surprise that they’re ignoring the World Health Organization’s finding that glyphosate is a “probable human carcinogen.”
Studies have also linked the chemical to birth defects, liver damage and hormone disruption. EPA is dismissing this evidence as well.
The Pilliod verdict is the third consecutive ruling for cancer victims against Monsanto/Bayer, with thousands more working their way through the courts. Juries are following the science on glyphosate. EPA officials should do the same.
Thank you for all you do.
