Transformador de Telefónica en la calle Eras de San Clemente
El Ayuntamiento de San Clemente ha precintado las antenas móviles del transformador que Telefónica mantiene en la calle Eras de esta localidad. Lo hace después de que muchos vecinos de la zona hayan relacionado esta instalación con la aparición de varios casos de cáncer en los últimos años. La desconexión de los aparatos de telefonía móvil se produjo el pasado 5 de noviembre después de dar un margen de cinco días a la empresa para desplegar una antena provisional y que la localidad no se quedara sin el servicio de esta operadora. El alcalde, Vicente García, asegura que se trata de un compromiso qué el mismo adquirió con los vecinos de estas calles, que –asegura- ahora viven mucho más tranquilos.
Telefónica ha instalado una antena móvil en el cerro del Esparto, junto al depósito del Agua, hasta que se encuentra una ubicación definitiva para las antenas. Una solución transitoria que está originando algunos problemas de cobertura tanto de teléfono móvil como de Internet móvil en la localidad, especialmente en las zonas más alejadas de ese punto. La empresa negocia con otras compañías la posibilidad de utilizar conjuntamente las torretas que éstas tienen fuera del casco urbano: una ubicada en el camino de Santiaguillo y otra en la carretera de La Alberca.
